The 138th China Import and Export Fair — better known as the Canton Fair — concluded its three-phase run in Guangzhou, China. Metec participated as a key exhibitor in the industrial machinery section, showcasing our latest generation of sheet metal processing equipment to buyers from over 120 countries.
What We Showcased
Our booth featured live demonstrations of:
- MPG Series Servo-Electric Press Brake — The all-electric press brake that eliminates hydraulic oil entirely
- MLS Series Fiber Laser Cutting Machine — Running live cutting demonstrations on 12mm stainless steel
- Interactive Product Configurator — A digital tool allowing buyers to specify machine configurations in real time
Buyer Response
The MPG Series all-electric press brake generated exceptional interest, particularly from European and North American buyers who prioritize energy efficiency and environmental compliance. The machine's energy consumption is 60% lower than equivalent hydraulic press brakes, and it produces zero hydraulic oil waste.
We collected over 200 qualified inquiries during the fair, with strong interest from buyers in Germany, Turkey, India, and Brazil.
Industry Trends Observed
Several clear trends emerged from conversations with buyers at the fair:
